I just bought a 1993 240sx/auto convertable for $500. The prior owner popped in almost $3000 on an engine rebuild and then somone hit the front. Only the sheetmetal is bent and it runs and drives just fine. It drives like there's a shift kit in the transmission.

I want to take it to my local Sears Point/Infineon Raceway dragstrip that has Wednesday night drags each week.

Are there specific adjustment items with timing, ignition, etc that make a difference in stock performance? I wouldn't mind putting in a used pully and intake, but don't want to throw a bunch of money at it; just abuse it before I resell her. I don't know if they all have positraction rear-ends, but this seems to.

Any drag racing suggestions? Thanks, Nitro

Unless a previous owner had a limited slip differential put in, its probably just open. Better tires are probably your best bet for better times.

i read in FAQs that there is a sensor under the hood by the drivers side for a auto transmission. if u disconnect it it will shift alot faster than normal. its sitting right on top by the fender.
