whats up guys? i have a quick emissions question. My car failed smog the other day. The people where being doushes and they didnt want to tell me the reason for the failure. sooo heres a pic of my results. Any idea what would cause these really high numbers? for example cat, egr, bpt valve, oxygen sensor. Any help will be greatly apreciated.

i would say to check your air filter and pcv, but your running what some call "pig rich"idle mixture. plugs,CTS,some quick things to check. what does it say your timing is at?egr /bpt wouldn't couse that. cat is a possibility, but you want to check the little stuff first

read up on high hc's and co's. its very rich. the reason they won't tell you whats wrong is because your gonna go home and replace those things they say and your gonna return and it may fail and blame them for it. if its a test only station they get in trouble for telling you what may be wrong. besides they need to make money

Its cool man. Its the thought that counts hehe

anyway turns out i had all my vacuum lines mix up while some where unpluged. Hopefully this is the problem thought i think its not.

I know its bad but the $150 illegal smog doesnt sound to bad right now.

for next time, try to find a test only place that offers a free retest. vac lines are pretty easy if your good with a diagram. 150 smog might not be worth it becouse it sounds like itll cost you alot less in repairs

dont be sorry for the bad link, not your foult. atleast you tried to help, unlike 80% of all the other a-holes on these forums

You know when i had problems like that back in the day you know what worked for me?! get that guarantee pass smog s*** thingy. you can get it at any auto-parts dealers. fill up your tank of gas and add that s***. drive it until your tank is almost empty. take it back and your gtg!
