Just replaced timing kit and Im pretty sure my electrical timing is off. It takes longer to rev, but is driveable. FSM says 20+/-2 degrees. This is correct, right? Never set elec. timing by myself. So heres the question. This is the number that I punch into the gun? Also I am assuming it is retarded, since it has power in higher rpms? Dist could be a tooth off?

Punch into the gun????? no you hook up your light and point it at your crank pulley while its running prevoiusly warmed up and the tps disconnected. is it on the proper mark for 20 degrees? or you push the up arrow on the gun till you see the top dead center mark on the timing pointer on the cover then look at the gun and see what it says. Either way is an effective way to check timing. you could either have the dist off a tooth or one of the timing gears off a tooth [which would suck cause you would have to start over] do the timing check and see what comes up.
