Now, before you go flaming me for even asking the following questions (as normal as they may be), please just ANSWER them to the best of your knowledge. That's all I ask.

What I want to ask is, I love the S15 headlights, and I wanted to know what all is needed for an S14 (95-96) to have these headlights fit. First of all, let me say I have someone that can do some custom fabrication for me (although limited, but FREE :D). So this is not a problem.

What I want to know is, is it absolutely neccessary to buy completely different fenders, hood, front spoiler, etc.? I'm a bit confused about the hood especially...as on one site advertising parts for the conversion said something under the 89-94's about the OE hood not fitting, so they were selling a special hood. But the S14's were listed under parts as OE hood. Now, in this case I have no idea what they mean, but I assume the USDM hood...not the JDM one. So do I really need a different hood? (BTW, the site I looked at was AutoImaging.com)

Also, if there isn't much difference in the OE fenders and the conversion fenders, do I need to buy different ones or can I have MINOR work done to them enough for the S15 headlights to fit and still look normal?

I plan on getting a different front spoiler either way...probably something made for an S15...so if I buy a front spoiler made for an S15, will it fit with the stock bumper support and what not?

Just PLEASE answer these questions truthfully and knowledgeably...I really don't need flamed, just ANSWER THEM.

P.S. - I hate my title :pface (Driving Mom's Car)

You have to buy the entire s15 front, lights, fenders, bumper, hood etc.

OR you just buy the lights and have your tech mold/cut/paint your car to match (lots of body work)

It won't be minor work if you just shoe-horn the lights in.

With all the necessary parts, its a lot easier.

Thanks for not flaming me :pface

Now, let me ask this...if I get some kind of aftermarket spoiler made for an S15, have it put on...THEN put on the headlights, will it be any less work to just put the headlights in (with stock hood, fenders, etc....all except the front spoiler)

If the aftermarket spoiler goes on the bottom, then theres not much work there, just paint and attach. (lip spoiler)

If the spoiler replaces your entire front bumper, then it's better to get the spoiler molded for S15 lights, then the tech would only have to cut up your fenders/hood to match.

Either way, they've gotta hack up your front end to make those lights work, a good 5 to 10 hours. (cut, sand, paint, bondo)

Why would molding be neccessary if the spoiler was already meant for an S15? Wouldn't it already be shaped to the S15 headlights? (yes, it replaces the whole bumper)

Also...hacking it up a little is no problem. But will ONLY cutting be neccessary? Or will small things need to be added in places? (i.e. We cut off one part...but then the 95-96 headlights are bigger in one area and there's a hole there now that the S15 headlights are on) Do you think that would happen, or will it just be cutting off little pieces here and there?

We don't call front bumper replacements spoilers, we call them front fascias.

Cutting is not necessary if you want to pound your car with hammers.

You need a really experienced body person to do that, I wouldn't trust Jose and his mexican buddies with this kinda work.

Like I said, cut, fit, body filler, sand, paint...

better off buying the S15 pieces.

Mexican buddies :funny:

ANYWAYS...no, this guy is no Jose :pface He's a darn good guy when it comes to ANYTHING to do with cars. A good example...he recently bought a camper from a junkyard and cut the whole front end of it off, and replaced it with a Ford Taurus front end, engine, and transmission. That included LOTS of custom fabricating and even creating his own panels. He also moved the axels and stuff back farther. So he's no pushover...he'd be good for the job.

Also, yeah...I'm finding out I don't need to spend $3,000 for a conversion...with the right connections it'll probably be more like $1,600 or less (yes, seriously).

So where would I go about looking for these parts the cheapest? Most sites I go to want $900+ for an OEM hood and that's rediculous...

Anyone?

Under 1k? That's an easy one...it's in the last place you'd probably look:

S15 Right Headlight

S15 Left Headlight

Courtesy Nissan! Of all the places to have them the cheapest, a dealership would be the last I'd think... But yeah, just under $675 for the pair. w00t! All parts included...but the price doesn't include shipping.

Now...a full conversion for under $1k? I doubt that's possible, even without labor costs.

So there ya go :pface

Hahahahaa...yeah...I don't think that's possible. That is, unless you directly import it from Nissan of Japan :pface

But even then, I dunno...

I have a question since i have already did the conversion.... the s15 light has many bulbs, and all of them have to be spliced into the 240 except high beam. I want to know which light is what (running, headlight marker) I have the bare essentials wired up projecter, high beam and turn signals but i dont know if i wired them up to the right wires. (I am pretty much asking for a picture or diagram pointing each light and function out (I will plug and play later) thanks
