Friend gave me his Clutch off of his car.. in good condition.. Both are after market..... wondering if it will fit..

isnt there something you can do to make them fit though? i know one will fit if you remove one of the location pins on the stock flywheel, another if you do this, etc.

im probably wrong but it might be worth a shot, right? what kind of clutch is it? what kind of sr is it out of? i hear the gtiR clutch is supposed to work... you wont be able to use the flywheel though im afraid.

Yea, I am pretty sure you can take one of the guide pins out and the SR20 clutch will fit. Not that I have done this but im sure someone on here has.

I think people have used one of the KA (E or DE, I don't recall) clutch/pressure plates by removing the alignment pins in the CA flywheel. I'm almost certain the SR flywheel won't work. Frankly, your best bet would be to put the SR stuff up for sale and put the money towards a proper CA setup. I suggest you get a NISMO Coppermix setup, but that's primarily because I want to hear a firsthand opinion of one.

The SR one won't fit no matter what you do The KA-E is the one that you can remove the pin on to make work.

any KA clutch works fine.

SR CLUTCH WILL NOT WORK. I hope this shows up in the search function now... god knows how many times i've said this now. I personally tried it (so did you right ryan?). no way that fuggers fitting in our bellhousing. it will physically bolt up to the crank, but thats where the fun stops!

Yea, I tried it too Sean. Wasn't even close. Way too big. I've got a SPEC stage 3 that I'm using. I'm not uber inpressed with it, so when it goes I'll probablly get a KA clutch (I'm thinking the centerforce unit that WeldingHank is using).

yeah, the price is DEFINATLY right. who can argue a $200 clutch that grabs like this? some people ask how it can grab so tight, but engage so easy, its in the pressure plate design. it has counter weights that push down on the arms harder as the engine revs up faster.

i thought the ET used a smaller flywheel and clutch too (like the FWD pulsar one)...

As far as I've ever heard it will work. The disk is 225mm IIRC.....on CA18DET, CA18ET, Z32 NA and KA applications. Specifically tho, I do remember someone in this forum claming to run a CA18ET clutch. Here are a few "clutch" threads that are found when searching the "archive".

And just FYI, Cuzan0 (Daryl) is a friend of mine and knows his stuff. If he says a CA18ET clutch fits, then I'll bet it fits.
