ok i know my clutch is goin out cause after a little hard driving it just revs like crazy and doesnt like to catch. that i can live with for now. but now i will be driving down the hwy in whatever gear...lets say 5th, and it it will just randomly jjerk for a couple seconds then be fine. kinda like pressing and releasing the gas pedal real quick. is this the clutch sliping for a sec and then re-engaging?

Most likely...

A clutch has the most load on it in the higher gears...so a dying clutch will typically start to slip in 4th or 5th...then as it really goes, it won't hold 2nd or 3rd, etc...
