It was discussed on this forum a while ago, regarding foreign fast-food joints and such... someone mentioned the French fast-food chain "Quick" often left bone chips in their burgers. I decided to email the company, asking about this (I mean, how the heck can this be?). Here is the response I received today;

Good Morning Mr Bishop,

I received your question in good order and I can assure you that we donot have bone chips in our patties. Taking a closer look at thecomposition of these clarifies that it would even be impossible. Allpatties used at Quick are fresh and undergo several quality checks.

I hope my answer is of satisfaction to you but in case you would likemore information please feel free to recontact me.

So, there we are... no bone chips in Quick burgers, because they say so...

Guess that was a "Quick" response.

I love this forum...

I'm glad that he stated that due to the 'composition' they used it would be impossible... but didn't state what that 'composition' was...

He probably means that it's "composed" from everything except real meat.

If it didn't come from an animal... it would be impossible for it to have bone chips...

Exactly. There's no bone chips in ground up old shoes and newspapers. YUMMY!

Wow... this is a disgusting conversation.

I'm too mortified to move it to the correct forum... for now.
