Quick ? before I go to the stealership

Ok guys, I'm taking my gfs 2.5s coupe in today to get the heatshield rattle fixed. I already searched the threads, but I can't figure out which heat shield it actualy is. I need to know which heat shield it is and/or where it is at so I don't sound like a DA and so it will be easier for the tech to fix it. Any quick replys?

You are going to have to answer your own question. Where is her rattle coming from? If it's coming from the engine bay its the exhaust manifold heat shield. If it's coming from below the car its one of the exhaust pipe shields.

There are many things that can be rattling, are you even certain that its one of the heat shields? If not, just tell them what you are hearing and where it's coming from. They will try to replicate it and bust out the mechanics stethoscope if needed.

thanks for th reply, They ordered a new heat shield, they didn't say which, but Im sure it was the one on the manifold.
