I've read through a few threads here, and have seen references to this, but haven't seen it said outright, so I'll ask.

I have to rebuild my bottom end.
I know that with OEM bearings you can specify grades based on the crank and block stamped #'s.
I haven't seen this with aftermarket bearings. Do they just ignore this and set one grade?

I'm wondering if I'll be ok with aftermarket bearings instead of OEM?
Any opinions on bearings that you "swear by" or "always use" for whatever reason?

Thanks.

Aftermarket bearings dont come in different bearing grades.

I have Calico coated bearings in my SR and have no complaints.
ACL Race bearings can be had pretty cheap as well (around $120)

That's what I was wondering about (not coming in different grades).
But I guess that answers my question, they should be good to go.
