Quick B.M.C. question

I'm heading out to replace my brake master cylinder and had a couple questions real quick. I was wondering if in between the BMC and the booster, if there's a gasket that goes there. If not, is it ok if I make one? I don't know if it really needs one but it my help in the future.This is not my brake booster but it looks in the same condition. Can I clean it, sand it, and repaint it? I'll do a little bit of cleaning if it's too much of a pain in the a** to remove it.

Mine wasn't as bad but I stripped it sanded it primed and painted it flat black.

how do you get it off? I just got done checking the a brake noise and new headlamps and fluids in my mom's car. and am waiting for my buddy to be ready to get my BMC done. I haven't taken a closer look at the booster yet and am not sure how to remove it. I'll be taking a look at the FSM

The buts are located under the dash but I left mine on, I masked and cover around d it. Cleaned with the brake clean, sanded it, cleaned it, primed and painted it.

oh cool thanks, weather calls for snow and it's already sleeting out.Going to wait till Friday to do this, already fighting a sickness
