Quick and easy wastegate/boost controller question

hey so im hooking up my boost controller and had a quick NEWB question...

i have a line coming off my turbo that then splits into a T. then a line goes to both the boost controller port and compressor reference port.

should i just pull the line that goes into the boost controller port, plug it into the boost controller, and run a line from the boost controller output to the boost controller port?i mean that all seems right but I thought i would check. thanks everyone
