Thought I'd pass along a trick that my mechanic gave me after I mentioned that I had busted the loop off of my remote.
1) Pop open the remote and look for an area without circuitry where you can drill a small hole to accommodate a key ring.
2) Drill a small hole in one side of the case.
3) Put it back together and drill the hole through both sides.
4) Slide the ring through, file down the busted nubs and you are good to go.

Here's the finished product, This took me under 10 minutes.

Reminds me of a similar post long ago, but with the key itself.

Give me a second I think I can dig it up...

A ways down, they talk about how they drill a hole in the key itself when the loop breaks.

I like it!
both the fob & key fix.
darnit - i wish i had though of that on keys/fobs of my older cars. I just dealt with carrying the key on it's own...
