quick 94 intake injector question

I'm reading that there was a slight design change in the intake alongside injectors and fuel rail. It's confirmed that with the 94 injectors,rail and harness, they will work on the 90-93 q45's. What about the intake? what is the design change? and why doesn't the intake need to be swapped as well in order to utilize the 94 injectors? I am preparing to do this to my car and want to ensure I have everything i need.
