Hey Guys,

I did a couple of searches (for pictures) of the differences between the OEM throw out bearing and the aftermarkets, because when I took apart my throw out today, I ran into a couple of issues.

The throwout bearing I bought was a KOYO: look at the pix for number

The KOYO is larger than my old one. Questions:1) what can I do?2) Is there any way around it?3) Could someone point me to someone else who sells the "correct OEM"? (I bought this from phase2motortrend.

Another issue that I found (which I don't have pictures are:) while trying to install my transmission mounts, the "plastic/rubber" part on transmission itself (where the mount is suppose to mate is "cut/destroyed/missing?"

Questions:1) What is this called?2) Anyway of "patching it?"3) Refer to 1) so that I can find shops that would sell em, thanks.

Boost solenoid:(Not really a question)But I plan on running stocked, so I wish to have the boost solenoid. (Want 7psi instead of ~5psi)Is there anyway around it (that won't cost me to drop below 7psi)? This is my first turbo, so I don't really understand the lingo. Can I buy a boost controller to sub for the solenoid (if I do plan on running a bigger turbo in the future?)

BTW: Can anyone identify whats the hard pipe just below the vss (below bottom left looking at the image), I ask because mine was "crushed" while on travel. The one with the black tube/hose.

Thanks,Namco

That's a vent from what I've been told.

You can get a manual boost controller they are cheap pretty cheap. I bought a a boost controller and gauge for like 130 on FRsport.com Garrett gauges are pretty well priced.

Just buy a new/used transmission mount.

The throw out bearing is fine to use it's probably a heavy duty generic bearing. You'll be fine. If you dont trust it hit up http://www.courtesyparts.com and order yourself a new bearing.

Appreciate all the comments guys,

@s14: Lol those are my friends. For some reason my camera flips the images?? 180 when I take photos in landscape mode. (In other words, my shoes are the nike ones)

I just figured out that my original tob, was from an Sr? don't ask.and I was measuring the wrong "inner diameter" so after removing the old sr, the new tob fits just right.

@opticnerv. Okay, so thats called the vent. if the metal tubing is missing is there anything I can use to replace it (just tubings/hose?)? If anything can I just "block/clog" both ends?

Sorry for young mistakes people,Namco

It looks fine in the picture don't clog it or block it. It's so oil can come out if it over heats I was told someone correct me if I'm wrong. Just take one off the ka.
