Hey guys gotta couple of questions..

i got an automatic V and im thinking about installing a muffler but im worried that it will sound different on the automatic. Whats yur opinions? install or no?

And my other question is...how can i "booost" my V. I want it to pick up more power nd speed..is there anything out there thats legit rather then the ebay performance chips? or should i get those chips?

DO NOT GET THE CHIP.

Besides that, there arent much performance parts available for the V. Axle back exhaust, CAI, and thats about it for adding any power. Supposedly there is a header on the horizon, so if you got the header, you have a shop custom bend you a pipe from the header back to the axle back exhaust you already added.

Besides that, rims, tint, springs, strut bar, body kits, and stereo is about all thats out there right now.

It shouldn't sound any different than a manual transmission except that it'll shift faster. I would go for it if I were you. Check out Blind_sniper's thread on his most recent exhaust here: zerothread/306175

You can also see a clip of his final product here: zerothread/310612

It's a nice cheap upgrade that's definately worth the money.

The only way you can add significant horsepower to your car without spending a fortune is with nitrous oxide. A friend of mine and I installed nitrous on my 2000 Mazda Protege (a wet, 50 shot) and it was a HUGE boost in performance. However, it's a bad idea to install on a Versa for multiple reasons, including (but not limited to); 1) With the drive-by-wire throttle system, it would be difficult (if not impossible) to install a WOT (wide open throttle) switch. 2) The transmissions for our Versas (especially auto or the CTV) simply aren't designed for the amount of horsepower you would gain from a mod like this. 3) It is illegal in most (if not all) states to operate a nitrous kit in your vehicle while driving on public roads. 4) It will more than likely void your entire powertrain warranty.

I would recommend simply installing a cold air intake and exhaust, lower the car and install a strut brace so it'll handle better, and love the fact that you can still get 30 mpg on the hwy with a car that looks cool, sounds good, handles great and isn't the slowest thing on the road.

yes my custom bent cat-back was well worth the $225 total and sounds better i think then the stillen and tanabe axel-back ones. besides i dont think the axel-back exhausts add any noticable power.
