Car: 2007 Nissan Versa Hatchback SL w/ Technology Package

Post

Hi all,

I'm a new proud owner of a 2007 Nissan Versa Hatchback SL w/ Technology. pkg.I own the Canadian version...but I'm hoping everyone can help me with my noob questions regarding my V.

1) Where is the CVT engine made in? I know the car itself is assembled-in Mexico.2) Is there a engine "break-in" period? Do any of you follow it? Any advice on whether it matters or not?3) On the driver's wheel, my V has the bluetooth/radio controls and cruise controls. Should they "light-up" in the dark like the rest of my dashboard + CD-radio? 4) Does my V have the TPMS??? 5) I thought the V SL + Tech. pkg. INCLUDES the XM Satellite Radio. Am I wrong? 6) Whoops...one last question. When I go downhill...it seems the engine is still running more than it should at 2000 RPM (usual driving on flat-surface is 2000 RPM)...sorry...I can't describe the feeling...but its like the engine is fully engaged...I can feel a light shudder/constant vibration?...that's the best I can describe it. But what is going on?

Yes...I'm a total noob...but at least I didnt go out and buy a Fit or Yaris.

I appreciate any feedbacks...especially from Canadian Versa owners!

Cheers!

1. CVT is the type of transmission you have, not the engine. It is probably assembled in Japan.

2. No drag race accelerating from a stop and vary your speeds for the first 1000 miles.

3. No.

4. Yes

5. Seperate package for $300.

6. My V has a surging effect when coasting down a hill. This seems to b a common event with the CVT transmission.

You will probably get different answers on these questions so just take a consensus of them.

On #2, it's in the owners manual. First 2000Kms, no hard acceleration, keep it below 4000RPMS.

On #4, nope, that's a US only feature.

Same happens to me. It's probably got something to do with the reason you can't tow a CVT engine by letting the front wheels drag
