OK! So, I am new to this forum and I haven't changed parts on a car since I was 16. I am now 23 and in the military. I am deployed right now, but will be headed home in a few months with some decent money to blow on my ride. I have a 2009 Altima Coupe 2.5 CVT. Right now the only mod I have is an after market spoiler on it that resembles the G35 spoiler, since whenever I purchased mine in Oct of 08 it didn't come with one.

Here is some ideas I have on what I am thinking of doing whenever i get back.

I want to get:

some 19 inch custom Lexani rims (don't know the tire size or spec's I should get)
Lowering it with either Tein or Ebach.. duno if I should lower 2 inches or how much due to 19 inch rims
getting 8k HID headlights and whiting out the yellow headlight blinkers (any brands??)
Tinting out the tail lights, but not sure how or what kit to purchase.
Get New Black mesh grill for the front end.
Then getting a front lip kit on it after all these mods are complete.

Next year after my next deployment I will work on the engine, but right now I am focused on getting it to look clean.
Possibly BLACKING it all out except the Chrome/Black Rims

Any comments and feedback will be greatly appreciated!!!

Welcome to NICO and thanks for your service to our great country. :bigthumb:

To answer your questions...
1. as long as you don't go over 20's you'll be fine. It's the offset you need to worry about, especially with a drop. For you, I would suggest on keeping around +40 - +35. +35 will bring you right up to the fenders and +40 will be about a 1/2" sticking out from where your OEM wheels are at now

2. Are you referring to Springs or Coils here? The Eibach springs will drop the car approx. 1.7" in the front and 1.5 in the back with your OEM springs. The Teins will drop you 1.9" all the way around. Keep in mind that the springs will reduce the life of your shock but that will depend on how much you drive it and what types of roads and conditions you are driving on. Coils are the way to go if you can afford it. There are a few of us running BC Racing Coils here and love them. Adjustable ride height and 30 position dampening :naughty:

3. As for HIDs, I would go for 6K instead of 8K. 8K HIDs will produce a real blue light output which can attract the attention of local LEOs. Besides, the light output on a 6K is more than an 8K and is more of a whiteish blue. Not sure what you're talking about regarding "whiting out" the headlight blinker. Can you elaborate?

4. Tail light tinting - Get LBC's kit. his website is in my sig!

5. Grille options - A lot of the guys here have the C-mod grille. Do a search and you'll find it.

6. Lip Kit - There are a few companies that make front lip spoilers for the coupe. AIT, Stillen and Razzi are just a few. It all depends on your preference. :chuckle:

Hope that answers your questions :bigthumb:

@. There are companies that sell LEDs that are clear & turn yellow when signal is on
Check google for spider / spyder tailight LEDs and same companies would sell the signals, as well.

Well I am stationed in Florida and since it's a real "touristy" place the speed limits vary from 35 mph to only 55 mph. LOL! SAD i know. But the traffic is bad during the summer months, therefore leaving the speed limit SLOW unless I go out of town to hit the interstate then its 110+ haha.

As far as my head lights... i want to get rid of the yellow blinker turn signal, because the yellow throws off the look of the car during the day. I was debating about putting in a white blinker(duno if legal or not) and maybe putting black eyelids on my car for the head lights... I will do the 6k rather than the 8k seems to be a logical reason for that as you previously mentioned.

The Lowering Kit, I am not sure what i really want, I kinda want to go 20 inch rims, but then focus on gettin a lowering kit to support a smooth ride. But averaging 55 mph daily really wouldnt be that big of a deal or seem to be difficult to accomplish. I am about to look up the Lowering kit you guys are sporting and call my local custom shop back at home and see what we can figure out so when i get back to the states I can have the stuff waiting :)

Appreciate your post, and thanks for the support of the military. Any extra info is greatly appreciated :)

P.S. Noticed the eyelids on your ride, looks sexy as hell!!!
