Hey Guys, I just got my M-30 back from Infiniti yesterday from having that famous (fuel Injector recall done) Yes it was never done as hard as it seems to belive even tho it has been serviced at a Infiniti Delear in Kansas.

The question I have is this one. I know I have the same(well almost as far as I know) as the 85-88 Maxima and 84-89 300zx non Turbo. when I had my 88 300zx they was always telling people to switch the T.B. with one off a 240 as its a bigger one and lets more air into the motor. Would this work on my M30 (should it seems)

The M-30 does pretty good as it our runs my friends 1993 Z24 Cavalier Convertible and there 1994 Cutlass Suprem Convertible with the 3.4, but it seems to lack a lil power from time to time.

What else can I do for power besides the exhaust which I have done and the Filters. would maybe the pulley (aftermarket ones) from say a 300zx Na work on my M-30? just want some semi easy Hp that wont kill my car and me and the budget to do it.

I have done pretty much all the show stuff to the car. Bra,Tint,Hid's,sunroof vent cover, rear spoiler. now I need to find something else to do now....

Thanks Guys

Don

is that the VG30E block?

how much are you willing to put into it?

you could fabricate a custom supercharger system.oryou could change out the pistons and turbocharge itorpeople have used nitrous systems on that block with moderate success.

TB probably wont make much difference unless you go to some sort of forced induction.

good to hear from an M30 owner, good to hear it can still outrun a lot of the cars on the road.

Clean your throttle body thoruroughly.Execute a NICO search (re button on top right) for TB cleaning and such.

many members have reported real results with this almost free "mod".

This site founder Dr Rex Birkmeier owns a 91 convertible which he is turbocharging right now I think.

well, in that case, you should be able to get a bit more with an underdrive pulley, but dont expect much. dont think id like to replace any pulleys in the snow, either....

Where do you take your car to get it serviced? And what dealer in KS did you use? Steven or Major? What did you think of them?

Thanks,

Nick :)

Hello everyone, Sorry I have been ajor busy with work and havent had a chance to check the board lately!

(1) Recalls All M-30 Made Infiniticall the local Dealer with vin if they cant help they will give you the Infiniti toll free number where they can pull up all the history that has been major they can find on you car, then they did 3 way calling with me back to BoB Moore Here In Okie City and set up a drop off date. The loaner car that I was let have was a 2000 G20 cute fun zippy little car (yes the Infiniti here in Oklahoma City let me use a loaner for the recall) May have just been them being nice but its worth a try. They said it wuld take a full day took a day and a half, car overall runs about the same but hey its like I would guess around 1200 worth of new parts for free and plus dont run the risk of her burning down near as much now also.

(2) Service in Kansas.... The Original owner of my M30 was in kansas and all the papers I have says (Major) she had tons of service done with them and the car still runs like new, she even had the Ac/Heat unit replaced because it would black out 900.00 anyway I dont have any thing bad to say about them as I myself have never used them but My car runs like its still new and that makes me think they are pretty good, well besides they never did the recall work on it anyway.

Any cool sights I should know about you guys have found for the M's?

Yes you can use that throttle body i belive off of a stanza 89-92 or somthing like that. unfortunatly once bolted up you have to mark what needs to be ported out.. not hard to do just a lil time consuming.. take a dremel and port it as far into ti as you can. some say this isnt worth any hp. i think that i agree. maybe would help on a tubro motor but not on the vg30E . . and yes Rex is turbocharging his m30 as we speak.

Hey Guys! The guy that I use for my exhaust put a flowmaster on it, at first I was major worried about the sound it would make, but overall it sounds really god. Its not really buzzy or loud has a slightly deeper man to it then it used to have. He also redid my pip from the cat back since it was soon in need of being replaced also. I am unsure what or who else might make a decent set up for our cars but I am very happy with th tone that my car makes now. Well I wonder how rex's m30 is coming along. Does anyone know if hes going to keep the Auto or change it over to a Man? wil be intresting to see what he thinks after its done, sure it will be fun then.

Later Guys

I was cleaning out the trunk this weekend and found water in the wheelwells in the trunk. Is there some kind of drain hole that could be plugged?

Thanks
