So, that's what's generally referred to as a 6-wire carb. It has a feedback system so that it can run in closed-loop mode and modify the A/F ratio to keep things going well.
"passenger-side near the bottom" those are for the anti-dieseling solenoid, which cuts fuel when you shut off the ignition. When the solenoid is energized, it lets fuel flow. When it loses power, it cuts fuel.
"front near the top" those are for the fuel-trim solenoid. This is what allows the ECU to modify the fuel trim to keep the engine running at the right air/fuel ratio. Note that you should also have an O2 sensor in the exhaust manifold, which provides the feedback signal for the ECU to adjust the fuel trim
"rear" There are two wires here. One is for the choke heater, which is the mechanism that gradually opens the choke as the vehicle warms up. The second is for a mechanical switch that lets the ECU know whether the gas pedal is being pressed or not.
None of those are at all related to vacuum, and you should keep all of them, unless you switch to a different carb.
