Hey guys, i need help with a question. I have a 1970 Datsun 510 2 door coupe. Im keeping the L20b engine but i was wondering about a few things. First of all, I just replace my water pump for the z22 water pump. I was pissed because alot of other people told me to install a L28 Turbo water pump on it, but i had problems with the water pump pully not aliegning with the crank & Alt. pully. The Z22 is the same thing like the L28 turbo, but the pulley matches up with the crank & alt. pulleys, any who: My question is that i nkow that the L28 turbo oil pump will be a good upgrade for my L20b but i cant get my hands on one. I would like to know if a L28 stock oil pump be better as well or is it the same like the L20b oil pump. Im from fresno, CA and these 280ZX cars are common in my selvage yards(sad though). Also, what more bolt on mods can i do for my L20b engine. heres what ive got so far:Red line Weber CarbLong Tube HeadersBetter Water pump to despense more water280 ZX Alt.

I was also hoping to install a Datsun 280ZX 2+2 flywheel since its suppose to have more surface area to grip. Any info would be a great help. Thank you

the automatic 280zx turbo had a higher volume oil pump than the others, the others are the same as the 70-83 n/a's IIRC as for upgrads, dual webber DCOE's are just sexy and a hot cam is alwyas an ption, and if you want to get the most out of your engine, a single T25 and a megasquirt system can put out about double your stock power

so bascially, swapping out my l20b oil pump to one of the 280ZX oil pump would be an upgrade, but one off of a automatic 280ZX Turbo would be a better upgrade. thanx
