I'm curious. Because over the last few days I've been doing some Steam spring cleaning. Linking non-steam keys with Steam for CD-free gameplay and installing all my Steam games that look fun right now. I have a terabyte of dedicated game disk space. So I keep checking that remaining free space number and deciding to install more games.

I realized I have A LOT of effing Steam games. 52 according to my profile. My first though was "Holy crap, that's a lot of money." Then I realized most of the games I own on Steam were bought during sales at discounts. And a lot are just cheap/indie games. Which is one of Steam's great strengths.

Anyway, the questions are:--How many games do you have tied to your Steam account? (View your own profile to see the count.)--How long have you used Steam?--Are most of your Steam games bought THROUGH steam, or just linked keys from boxed copies (for instance, I have a boxed copy of Prey that I assocated with Steam).--And finally, for the Steam purchases, do you think most of them were bought during sales/at discounts? Or have you literally spent thousands on games over the last few years?

No real point to this. I'm just curious.

I have 11 games through steam and 3 more that I have linked. My profile says 16, but I think it's counting Source SDK and L4D Authoring tools. I've been on since Sep 06.

All of the steam games I bought were not bought on sale, though. So i'm a bit of a trend bucker there. I picked up big name games as they came out, except for CS:S. My only regret is that I bought portions of the orange box individually instead of getting the big pack. I originally only wanted Portal, and then I grabbed TF2 a few weeks later.

I don't buy a lot of games when they go on sale. Usually because I don't have spare cash like that anymore.

I have about 20 games, mostly HL-Mods that were free but any games I bought off steam were bought on discount.

I have 12 games on steam. All except HL2 were purchased on steam for 9.99 or less. I actually started using steam when HL2 was released ('04 I think).

The only boxed game I have registered with steam is Dark Messiah of Might & Magic. That might be the only boxed game I've ever purchased that came with a steam compatible cd key.

I started using it in Feb 2008 and have 65 games all of which were purchased through steam although 30 or so of those came from the ID Software pack. Pretty much all of them were sale purchases save for a few impulse buys.
