Questions for Cali coupes who have y pipe or header

How do you manage to pass the smog test when you have to go thru visual test ? I'm about to order y pipe, but don't want to take it off every time I do smog check. I don't have any necessary tools to lift my car, especially with coilovers installed Any advice

Smog check isn't too often is it ???

I have headers and am planning on just switching back to stock when smog times come (unless I don't have to )

California smog check is usually every 2 years?(i think), and if you fail a smog test, they usually send you to get smog every year. Test Only smog centers are usually a little more strict than regular smog shops.

if u know a shop, they usually pass you on visual inspection. but if you don't. the only thing you need to change back is the headers. they don't usually lift up your car to do a smog test. so the Y-pipe should be fine for the visual. I'm not sure how it will affect the actual smog test itself though.
