Looking at getting the Tanabe NF series springs...

what did everyone here use as far as shocks are concerned?

What are your thoughts on what you chose for springs and shocks?

and... how many miles have you had them on the car to form your opinion.

Thanks in advance!

I just did em around 1000 miles ago so i can't attest for much other then they feel relatively the same as on stock springs with 17's to me.

i just put in KYB replacements for stocks/struts since i was around 56k miles already.

most people are running em on the factory struts/shocks & not many complaints i've heard...

the tokico blues are good, but @ 400$ they didn't seem worth it IMO. not many options on the versa, its either stock/kyb or tokico. other then that its coilovers.

if your going ot be doing struts/shocks as well you might want to consider the nismo kit, just got mine on last week and omg i love it. I was worried about upsetting the balance of the car piecing together an aftermarket setup, but in every way its better, its tight not stiff id say, and the other night i was driving a new road and didnt now there were some train tracks, the other side of which then went down, and mind you this is a 55mph road so i caught some air, the car didnt even notice, just settled in on the way down, didnt bottom out or even harsh momemnt, only used about half of suspensions throw id say, any suspension that can do that and still corner like a mad man without being a harsh rid is good by me.

I made a new thread in this section, but in short, between the brake lines and Tanabe springs my Versa is somewhat "boring" now. Before the car was twitchy on the highway, would bottom out over really bumpy roads, and was a handful. With the lines, the car feels better stopping. The lines aren't spongey like before. I nearly threw a friend into the dash trying them out hard when he wasn't ready for it. The car handles really well. It almost feels sluggish because it doesn't wobble or move a lot when I hit bumps. I drove it for ~55 miles in town and then around the highway. Our roads are terrible, and it felt like a little race car the whole time. The springs make it tight, but not harsh. It is fanstastic and I can't wait to add a strut bar to the front to see how much better it can handle.

I just added Tanabe springs to my factory shocks / struts

What are your thoughts on what you chose for springs and shocks?

It's a good combination.

how many miles have you had them on the car to form your opinion.

20,000 miles before the springs, 55 miles so far with them. AMAZING!

I have it all filmed and will edit the footage tonight (hopefully). It'll be added to the FAQ section soon.

thanks man. I think I'll be trying this setup as well, I'm not a fan of gr-2 shocks... I'd really like to wait till they get some AGX's out.

Versaspeed got the nismo suspension for me, must say like it a hell of alot more than any upgraded suspension ive every felt. Didnt see who made the springs before i put them on but the dampers are made by kyb(which ive always been a fan of)

I run the NF210s on mine with stock shocks...probably about 7k or so on them. Corners are night and day from stock springs. Not gonna lie there are times ( speed bumps gnarly train tracks and potholes) when I miss the cushy suspension and bubble tires. Not enough to go back though.
