Well my 240sx Came with some Mystery Front Tension Rods that are beat to shyt, and apparently are not doing their job, because my Front Driver side Caster is incredibly fuc*ked. At this point in time, seeing payday was Friday, I have taken it upon myself to fix that problem...

I missed out on an oppurtunity to get some SPL V2's in a For Sale thread, for $155.00 Shipped, and I would have been more then happy to take them off his hands, considering the money saved would have been a majority of the cost, for new Bushings.

Well regardless, I am, and have been, looking at the SPL V2 Tension Rods, since I saw the condition of the Tension Rods that came on my car. I know I will get great product from SPL, and their customer service amazing; from what I heard. So I am set on those.....

My main question is concerning the V2 Tension Rod Brake Deflectors... What purpose do these play & are they worth purchasing for $30.00?

They're exactly that, devices that "deflect" air towards your brake rotors to cool them down.

"Worth it" is subjective to you -- do you track your car? Are you experiencing brake fade/in need of more brake cooling capacity?

Moved to tires/wheels/brakes/suspension.

I see.. makes sense.

You're correct. As of this point car is not being tracked, it will one day, but not any time soon. I am not quite experiencing brake fade, from what I can tell, so since I can't, I am going to say no.

Conclusion: At this time, I do not feel the deflectors will be neccisary, but will consider for a future purchase =) Thanks for the response.

I have the v2s and brake deflectors. I think as far as the brake deflectors go you should make some better ones, i'm going to. But as far as the rods go, I LOVE mine and don't have to worry about them

I <3 SPL!
