I'm not planning to get the car for another 3 months, but I have some questions and comments about the car.

First, I test drove the car yesterday and I immediately noticed the steering wheel is really small. Is this something that can be easily exchanged for a bigger one? Does the size bother anyone else?

Second, I was absolutely sure I wanted blue but when I saw a blue one in person, I was incredibly disappointed. The blue looks flat and not the kind of blue I like at all (I like the Versa blue better, or the G35 blue). I was really set on that color and now I am torn between my second choices, white and red. If your car is one of these colors, can I see a pic of it please?

Thirdly, I have concerns about my car getting stolen because of the no key thing. It seems that if the information got out, someone could just reprogram the car into thinking the key was there and use that handy dandy push button start to drive away my precious coupe. I will be living in San Fran in about a year or so, so this worries me even more.

Finally, are there lights I can use that have a similar bright light output to xenon lights? I read the xenon HID thread and it seems like you need to get the right equipment for the lights to work properly (aka get it as an option from the dealer when buying the car). I'm getting the 2.5s base model so I will not have the luxury of having bright lights straight off the dealership (I'm buying the car outright and don't want to make payments so do not want to spend more than I need to at the dealer).

Well, dont get hung up on the no key thing, because practically every new car now, maybe sans the cheaper Hyundais of the world and Hondas are going with they "keyless system" Only difference is you still have to put it into the ignition and turn the keyfob thing. I think its called RFID.

Thats a picture of the key my dad has on his new Grand Cherokee. Theres a little slot that is almost like a conventional ignition, but the RFID signal tells the car that the key he is using is the key for the car. Pretty much what I am saying is the difference between that and the nissan is instead of doing a traditional start up motion, you just tap the brake and push a button. I dont think its something to get hung up on.

As for the steering wheel, I personally feel that is the perfect size. its not too small, yet not too large that it takes 2 hands the turn the wheel far.

And Ditto on the blue....ditto. That blue caused me lots of problems actually, because the dealer I went to had the car the way I wanted it in blue, but I wanted black cuz I feel that blue isnt a dark enough. The blue that the Mercury Milan comes in is beautiful, which is what I was hoping for. I had tons of fun getting the dealership to do the dealer trade....NOT. I would go with white if I were you though.

Thanks for the response rmuth25. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to paint it at a paint shop the color I want but not too sure about that. Right now I'm leaning more toward white since my last car, Eclipse, was red and attracted too much attention (cops too >_< ).

As for the key, an alarm should suffice then if most cars nowadays use that type of "key." Thanks for the info. My first and only car was a 96 so I didn't know that info. :P

The steering wheel still bothers me though. I like to feel like I'm driving a car not a go cart. I was really used to my Eclipse's steering wheel.
