I am about to undertake this endevour, but I have a slew of questions that need answering before I do. OK... here goes....

1) There are 4 vacuum lines coming off the back side of the intake manifold. Mine are cut and I can't find them in the FSM I have. Here is the layout of them from top to bottom and where they lead to....

Fuel Pressure Regulator------- Red Marking-------- ?????EmptyEGR--------- Blue Markings-------- ??????Waste Gate---- Green Markings----- ??????

2) On the end of the intake manifold, there is an "L" shaped vacuum port, this also has a cut vacuum line that I do not know where it goes, it wants to bend in towards the head of the motor.

3) Back side of intake manifold.... 2 lines, one braided stainless steel. I assume they are fuel lines. Top one goes where? Bottom one goes where?

4) Three vacuum lines on the back of the intake manifold. One is a pretty large vacuum line that is "T'ed" into another line, but the other side is cut. There is a smaller line coming from the middle of the intake manifold that is also cut. Then line from the Throttle body that is cut. Need to know where this go.

5) Oil filter to use.... nevermind, that was in TMS's post.

6) NGK PFR6A-11 where in it. Should I go hotter or colder for stock boost?

7) Retaining power steering. Does the KA pump bolt to the CA bracket? Or the KA bracket bolting to the CA block? How can I keep power steering. This is in a 92 BTW....

8) A/C. Same deal as the power steering. I do have the CA compressor. But can I use the KA one?

9) o2 Sensor. TMS's post.

10) Routing the wiring harness. I have the JDM not EDM harness. What needs to be extended to run it over to the passengers side and make it look all nice? Do I just match up the wires on the car side of the harness to the engine side of the harness like doing an SR swap?

11) Injector resistor. Mine was cut off the harness. Where does it wire into and where does it mount?

Lots of freakin newbie questions, but you don't learn if you don't ask. So please bear with me. Thanks!

Joe

power steering bracket (and I believe pump too) is wrong and DOES NOT fit. The lines however appear to fit right, but I never got a chance to hook mine up :(

A/C compressor...same deal...bracket is different and pump is too (I think) but mine didn't come with it so I really don't know. Lines appear to go to the right place again, but don't take my word for it!

The harness...the only thing that HAS to be lengthened it the MAFS wire and the A/C compressor wire...I lengthened other ones so it all fit perfectly but those are the only ones that need to be lengthened to work. (FYI I didn't do my harness, Enjuku Racing did) and I'd say get someone to rewire it for you...saves alot of headaches knowing your harness is done well and correctly!

I'll try and look for some more of those answers for ya' :D

just find the wires that are cut and re-splice them together (SOLDER IT!) and put it where ever...doesn't really matter.

I just don't really see anywhere on the harness that it is cut for the resistor... guess I have to look harder.

Wiring doesn't scare me.... I've done WAY too many Honda swap's (and made them work) to be scared of wiring harnesses :)

BTW... are you giving up on your project or rebuilding from the bottom up? What did you use for your downpipe? Did you cut and reweld an SR one?

See post below!:D (but yes I'm keeping it ;))

and I was planning on using an SR one... I have a stock SR dp but it needs to be cut and rewelded...it goes out towards the passenger side rather than straight back! But i never got around to it either...

Ok.... got a few of my questions answered....

1) Unsolved.... still looking in the FSM for vacuum diagrams2) Unsolved.... still looking 3) Fuel lines partially solved4) Unsolved.... again, need wiring diagram5) Oil Filter Problem solved6) Spark Plugs solved7) Retaining PS unsolved8) Retaining AC unsolved9) o2 Sensor solved10) Rerouting harness solved, just need to unwrap and make it look pretty.11) Injector resistor solved. It comes off the same cluster of wires that the MAF is on. Does anyone know where to get shielded wire?

New issues....

-Radiator hoses... any direct fit replacement?

-Valve cover gaskets.... a tad leaky, nothing major though

-Intake pipe. Is there anything that will work that is steel or aluminum to replace the stock rubber one? Also which MAF adaptor will work on the CA MAF? I have a KA one that I can MAKE work, but I would like something a bit more application specific.

-I guess I am going to have to cut and reweld the SR downpipe. I bought a stock SR o2 housing to bolt to the CA T25 so I wouldn't have to cut up the downpipe. But the SR one is about an inch longer than the CA one, worried about scrapping and also alignment issues to the cat, so I am back to square one.

The biggest hurdle right now is whether or not I can keep AC and PS. I want to keep it for drivability. I do have the CA AC and PS pumps, will the KA hoses bolt into the CA pumps?

These are parts I have in hand or on order on their way here....

Clutch---------Retaining OEM pressure plate since it is in perfect condition. Using a KA24DE Spec Stage2 disk.

Fuel-----Z32 Fuel filterWalbro 255lph Fuel pump on its way

Downpipe------------GReddy 3" SR Downpipe cut to fit

Intercooler--------------If Jon ever stops working I can get my SMIC, if not, just going to get a Starion FMIC from ebay or local and make it fit. Same with piping.

Cooling---------Electric fans of some sort, not sure what to get. Do I need a puller or pusher? CFM's? Size? Dual, single?

But thats about it, that should get me a bare bones stock swap and then I can add turbo timers, boost controllers, and ecu upgrades later on. I just want it in, running, and running right.

Thanks for your guys help!

raditor hoses are stock twin cam KA hoses, that are a bit too long...just cut them and it works great!

just use the stock rubber intake pipe...i guess you could get a metal one but why?

use a stock CA mafs...Mike (CA_RS13 or whatever) might sell his extra one if you need it)

P/S lines I KNOW line up if you use the CA pump and bracket etc...still haven't found out about A/C lines, but since the compressor is in the same place I'd say yes

valve cover gaskets (are cheap) just go ahead and replace them anyways...its easy as hell.

and #2 is the brake booster...cut the KA one to fit :D

Those 4 vacuum lines you are discussing; only 3 of them were ever in use on my car originally. All i did with them was put a short length of rubber hose that i plugged with some bolts. Everything works just fine.

i got a fan for yah, the SMIC and some pipes, im taking off this thurs saturday and sunday. after sunday night at the casino, i really dont need to work this week or much next week! i can now afford stage 2 of the CA project!!!

i have a feeling USDM_OneVia is goin to be a lab rat along with my self for some of our Ca/ 240sx parts! what do yah say joe? free ECU programning, dynoing up in columbus with our dyno guy. did you order an exhaust? cause im goin to try n build a custom one next week for my self, havent decided on what cannon to use yet but its goin to be around 3-400$ with test pipe.

Guinea pig it is then. I was planning on getting the Apex'i N1, but if you want to build one for me.... all the power to ya!

I am here all day today Jon, just gimme a call when you want to make the trip down.
