Ill answer what I can.
1. The parking brake has to be engaged.
2. Sorry, mine didnt come with this disc.
3. Ive only been able to find a few that fit my taste as well. You can search amazon, they have... a selection.
Its unfortunate that not a lot is available in that format. I think the intention of the DVD player was to be able to take advantage of the great sound system by listening to very high fidelity music. So, in order to listen to stuff I like, what Ive started doing is downloading my music as uncompressed music in FLAC or WAV format. Then burning that to an audio DVD disc. The advantage is that the sound quality is much better than simply burning an mp3 CD. MP3s use lossy compression, and dont sound as good. You can download your favorite bands and be able to listen to them in glorious surround sound.
4. Ive never tried that format, but the owners manual says the dvd player can play the following:- DVD-VIDEO- DVD-AUDIO- VIDEO-CD- CD-DA (Conventional Compact Disc) (CD with MP3/WMA cannot be played.)
So whether SACD falls under VIDEO-CD, I dont know.
5. Not sure what you mean by simulated surround sound? If youre asking if sound comes out of the shoulder speakers when you play a CD in the DVD drive, the answer is yes.
