questions about the aem ems on my sr20det

okay i have a red top sr20 in my 240sx and i have a few question because it wont start. okay when the car is on the run position should the maf be maxed out on the ems with out it running. if someone could answer that it would be very helpful

Hmmmmmm....... I would have figured that the aem would call for the use of a map sensor and completely do away with the maf.

Key on engine off the maf should not be maxed out, most likely something is wired wrong, go back and trace all the wires to make sure that you didn't inadvertently cross anything. Also check out the aem website/forums as they should have a lot of info to help you figure out whats wrong.

well on the ems i guess you use all stock sensors but my car wont start and im trying to figure out why. i know with the stock ecu it would still start but i dont have to old ecu see if that is the problem so i guess i can retrace and check and the wires. but i will get back to you if i have any luck

i found out that the aem ems isnt really plug and play cause the aem ems uses a 5 volt reference for the maf and the stock uses a 12 volt so yeah but it still wont run

Which MAF do you have selected in your setup menu, is it setup for a mass air setup or for speed density?
