Hi, right now I do not own a 240sx but soon I hope to have one. I was wondering what are things to look for when it comes to buying one, like things that are bad and things that are good.

Other moderators help me out and then delete my post once you are done.

I meant to move this thread to 240SX General Chat and it wound up in the Sentra section instead.:ofaceI dont have the settings in this board so I can't move it back.

In the meantime members go ahead and post to this thread it will come to 240SX board shortly.

Its not really a question i think of things that are bad, its a question of how bad they are. Every used car is gonna have something happening that doesn't go perfectly with your dream vision. Just try to find a 240 with a very low degree of rust in places like the front strut towers under the hood, which i think is superficial if not major, also under the rear stock spoiler on a hatch. Also listen to the car (engine) when its started/running/turned off. You may hear exesive rattling from the timing chain which i think is ok to a degree especially durring low rpms, a small amount of rattle should go bye bye when you rev the engine. if not it may need replacement and i don't think its cheap. All in all without saying too much just shop around, and soon you'll see the lemons from the gems, ya do get what you pay for. Grannies I heard give stupid deals on exeptionally clean vehicles. Hit em up.
