Hello guys, I recently bought a 2010 1.8S super black versa and i have a problem with the driver seat cushion. I test drove a base model 1.8 s car with the 6 speed trans with no options and it seemed the driver seat was comfortable enough for me. I test drove some other models of cars but I really liked the versa so I came back and bought a 1.8 S with the power plus package and 4 speed auto. It was OK When I took it for a spin around the dealership, but after a day or so the seat cushion became uncomfortable and it seems like the added door instrument cluster/ armrest started to push me kind of off the seat as I drove. So my question is what options do I have to solve this problem, does the 1.8 SL trim's seat's have more cushion and is it possible to put them in my car and have it not mess with the air bag system. Or can I pick up an after market seat for the car or a sentra's seat and have it fit. I love the car but the seat is driving me nuts. And if any one was wondering I'm a big guy, 6"2 and 300 lbs. Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions.

TL;DR... What kind of seat swapping options are possible with the 1.8 S versa to make it more comfortable for my big fat @$$.. lol

Find a SL in a junkyard and get the seats out of it. They SL seats are much better than the S seats. SL's have a memory foam in them. I never had an issue driving 120 miles a day and I'm a little bigger than you.

Easiest way to search junkyards: http://car-part.com

Thank you for your reply, will the air bag in the seat matter too much when i switch them out? And do you ever feel the seat doesn't go back enough?

The airbag connection should be the same on both cars. You just need to unhook the battery for about 15 minutes before removing the seat.

I thought it was a very vertical seating position but didn't notice sitting too far forward, didn't really bother me.

the seats will lay flat. isn't that far enough? or is it just the passenger seat that does that?

I guess I mean will the seat move back for more leg room, right now it's hurting my right hip driving this car. I like the car but I didn't realize I would have this much problem with the seating. also if the SL's seat hight can be adjusted, will the seat adjust down futher than the s"s seat normal hight, or will the seat just kinda tilt?

The SL won't really go any lower. But it will have the tilt adjustment, tilting it back should get more pressure forward towards your knees and reduce hip pressure.
