I have sold my 19 inch sport rims and I am going to be ordering up some 20 inch machined Ace Executives. I am debating on whether to lower my M45 on springs or not.

What are the advantages of springs, besides cosmetics?

What offset should I use to make the 20x8.5 wheels fit flush...and will that offset change if I lower the car?

What do springs cost in total? I know that the springs themselves can be had for around $250, but what about install and the alignment?

Considering I live in Minnesota, will lowering the car affect it's winter capabilities, aside from the obvious that I will lose some clearance.

Thanks!

I don't know allot about springs for our cars but for most of my others that I lowered you want to get progressive rate springs. I used APEX and they were fantastic, however, be prepared to replace the shocks, struts sooner because of the increased spring rate. It won't happen immediately but it will eventually blow them out. If you can afford it there are coilovers for our cars and there was a post just recently about that. Search!
