1. You need to use a timing light. Warm up the car and then set the timing. It's easier than you think, there is plenty of write-ups around.2. The half moons on the front and back.3. Use the bolt on the crank pulley. Just make sure you don't go to the left.

BTW- there is write-ups for all this stuff, just research.

On the carnk pulley you will see on one side it has holes. the other side has these lil white lines (ones yellow) The stock timing is second from the right on the holes. the light will flash on it when its on time. the white lines is for setting the engine TDC (TOP DEAD CENTER). the second from left is yellow, thats tdc

It's more accurate to rig up a spark plug wire between the coil and plug. I fought my timing until I did this. And, make sure when you are in timing mode your idle is around 850.

It's easy. A 8mm wire will fit into the end of the coil pack. Just find a straight boot spark plug wire and leave about a quarter of an inch of the conductor sticking out and shove it up in there.
