questions about Rb25det

Hi everyone.. I'm trying to get a skyline r 34 with rb25det .. But I have few questions and hopefully you have answer ... First I saw some leaking from the engine coming out from the head if the engine does anyone have expiation for that?,, 2- is the rb25det realible ? Any common issues and what the solutions for them.. 3- I've not seen the plastic cover for the enging and there is nothing that would inform me which kind of engine the car has except the blue plate .. So how I'd know which kind of engine.. ?.. Please if you have any other advice let me know . thanks in advance..

I'd probably say the r spins your going to get is search. I have been lurking for a little over a year and just joined. But I can't assure you that little time spent searching you can find your answers.

Dude its kind of hard to read what u are trying to say but I try to answer some of your questions..

The engine leaking can come from a lot of places. First u have to tell us a bit more as in is it leaking oil, coolant ? The only place I would thing if it's oil, maybe from the valve cover gasket as the engine is a bit old and will need replace either way.. thats just part of maintaining the engine..

These engine are reliable but that's depends on the driver and hoe heavy their foot is.. again part of that is on how well u maintain your engine ect.

And more than likely you have a rb25 neo since it's on a r34 its really good in my opinion for the simple fact that it's a newer version of the rb25 with a bit more "upgraded parts". But that's my opinion and other may think differ. . Also search on here there's a some treads on the neo engine.

Thank you for the info .. I heard that the rb's engine have an issue with the oil pump and the crankshaft.. Is that true ? And is the gasket need big money to be fixed ?
