Questions about Nissan motor swaps

first off, i'd like to give a shout out to everyone. i've been browsing this site for about a year now and i've picked up some great stuff from all of you.

being a broke college kid, i don't have a-lot of money for the whole sr or rb swap, so i had an idea. why not cram a six banger from say a pathfinder into the 240? there's a junkyard down the way where i can buy the motor and transmission from a 97 pathfinder for $600 (this IS negotable). i'm more than able to do the work myself.

so if anyone cares to share some thoughts, please hit me hard. take into mind that i'm not looking for a 500hp killing machine, just maybe something to drop in to run a little quicker 1/4 times, and something that's cost effective.

yeah i thought about that myself, except with the supercharged frontier motor.

yeah, that would be an option in my mind. i just don't know what kind of dimensions these larger engines have.
