I have the JDM Sport "eBay" t25/t28 and it blew after 1 drift event. I recommend you use your legit Garrett t25.

SAFC for tuning = no. Yes it can and has been done, but unless it's tuned on a dyno using the SAFC and a wideband it's a shot in the dark wether or not you are running rich or lean.

Forget the 370cc's and just use the FMU with your stock injectors, as well as turn the timing back a few degrees via the distributor.

Once you get your wideband then you might be able to hook it up and fine tune with it, but people have run solely the 270's + FMU for long amounts of time without an issue.

Everything else looks good, it's basically what my setup is. Make sure you put the oil return bung in the proper location.

use t25 check

i dont plan to rush things. you think it would be better to wait for my wideband and tune with my afc/370's or put it together with my fmu and stock injectors?

also distributer has been retarded and i have colder plugs.

oil return is good

how much power are you making? id really like to get a garrett t28 and see how much better that would be.

T28 would be a lot better and wont be as bad as a t25(heat pump=detonation). If you're plannin to go with t28 on a budget i rather you get a used one from a s14 or s15. the problem is depending on what chassis you have you might need to get clockin plates in order for the hot pipe and turbo inlet pipe to bolt in.

also with t28 370cc would be a lot better but you would need something like a mail order tune from Efi specialist, enthalpy, JWT....etc with these tunes you can put the car on the dyno and use afc to fine tune and still be able maintain good MPG while cruisin

if you upgrade your fuel pump you would also need to upgrade your fuel pressure regulator. i gone through it and my fuel pressure regulator crapped out on me leaving me stranded on the road. so do it right!

My old set-up:i made 241whp and 247wtq with a t25 on stock maf, egay bottom mount turbo mani, stock wastegate(7-8psi boost creep), 3" turbo back pipe w/ delete cat, 450cc injectors, walbro, z32 fuel filter, greddy FMIC, using only AFCneo to tune(dont recommend only afc)...etc......was done on a dynojet.

Imagine on t28 with better tune you might be able to get up to 270+whp dependin on boost. but i diss all my t2 set-up, i'm going T3 BABY!!! GL

i have an s13

i do plan on getting ordered a tune when i get a t28 its just the money thing

do you think it would be better to wait for my wideband and tune with my safc2 / 370's or put it together with my fmu and stock injectors? FOR NOW

when i upgrade my fpr is it still a 1;1? if so do i just set it for stock at 36psi or whatever it is at idle?

if the only thing holding you back is money, use the fmu, make sure it works though, bought a used one and the lower disc had failed, but I made a write up on how to repair it...

I have a few miles on mine now and not one issue, yeah its a hair on the rich side even with the 7:1 disc installed... but it is safe...

A t28 is a better option so long as it doesnt come from ebay. Everything else from ebay is not too bad(I have seen the name brand stuff fail just like the ebay ish) I have 3~4year old rucas that see more drift miles than street miles.

IF, IF you must use the afc and 370, go head and get a btm to take care of the timing under boost, I still would know 3~5* off timing and run the fmu, oh and I basically turned down the 370s sitting in my room and passed on an afc for the fmu

If you want to bite the bullet and drop some cash ($300) on a ROM tune, that's the best way to go. I have a tune for my 370's and I don't have to worry about anything. EFI Specialist retunes for 50 bucks, whereas some others charge full price for a retune. I'm glad I went the route I did, now all I have to do when I put in 740cc's and a z32 maf is send out my ECU.
