I want an extremely basic turbo set up for my KA. I've gotten together most of the parts that I need but was curious if I am heading over the top for such a basic set up? I have a 97 240 OBD2 I want to run a t25. I have a manifold turbo, walbro 255, deatschwerks 555cc, z32maf and a front mount. My question is this are the 555's and z32 maf too much ? Do I just need some 370's and run my stock maf? Im not looking for 500 hp just something fun. Maybe around 220 hp. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks In Advance

Everet

Way too much. 370s with a stock maf and SAFC is all you need. 370's will get close to 300 rwhp at 100%, 555's will get almost 400. You would simply be wasting your money.

I would sell/trade the 555 for 440cc and keep the z32 mafs. Because if you ever wnat to go bigger then you don't have to worry about fuel/ mafs/ or too much hassle on a tune....

Does it matter? A T25 won't do much after 20psi, and at that point it still won't pull 250 whp. 370s are cheap, get some of your money back. If you really must upgrade your MAF (which is unecessary), go with an N60 and use the SAFC to adjust the VQ.

If you've got the N62 MAF, then keep it. Its the besr MAF for our cars period. No sense in selling it to buy a different upgrade...unless you want people to call you retarded...ok maybe I'll be the only one, but I will.

Here's the thing with a boosted car. You're not going to be happy with a small amount of boost for long. You might at most make it a year. Then you'll be adding a boost controller and cranking up the wick. It's like heroin...really, it is.

The only thing in your combo I don't like is that tiny T25. It's a horrible turbo for a big motor like the 2.4. Granted, you'll right now boost, but its not worth any decent power. But I suppose you have it already and the damn manifold to go with it...so you're stuck for atleast the time being.

My overall point is this, you have all these parts already, why not keep them? I wouldn't be a friend if I didn't tell you that you'll be upgrading in the not to far off future.

Just my opinion, but I'm like one of the smartest people on the ENTIRE internet. (Note: Cheze is a pretty smart dude to) He's just wrong when he disagree's with me...lol.
