Hi all,
Mm, first time poster, long time visitor (well, a couple of months, anyway)
I picked up a new loaded altima coupe yesterday and am finding myself quite enamored with it.There are a couple of things I've found that seem a bit odd, but figured I could post here to get some clarification before taking it to the dealer.
I got this car as part of a retaining bonus from the company I work for, so they paid up to $32k for the car (which left me with like $100 to pay in the end.) I got every option, every package. One of the things I'm confused about is the rear view mirror. It's got the homelink, but no compass. The image in the manual, the image on Nissan's website and the mirror in my car are all different looking. From Nissan's website:
From my car: (sorry about poor image quality)
As you can (hopefully) see, the two right side buttons on my mirror are a | and O , with no compass name or symbol like in the manual. I can see the "hole" behind the mirror where the LED compass screen would normally light up at. Do I not have this because I got the technology package with the dvd nav ?
Also, the automatic headlights don't seem to work right, they are always backwards. Yesterday afternoon I turned the headlight switch to auto, turned the car on and it turned the lights on, put the navi in nightmode, dimmed interior lights, etc. Last night I tried in my garage with a fairly dim light overhead and it did not turn the lights on, like it thought it was daytime. Could some wires be switched to cause this opposite behavior, or am I not enabling it correctly ?
TIA,Darren
