I would like some advice on what I have decided to get for my 98 240. I’m approaching 50,000 miles and plan to take care of the 60K maintenance before I install a turbo. Ill have to get colder plugs, but should I also run a colder thermostat? Beyond 60K service:

--Greddy TD06 Turbo Kit Not sure if I need a blowoff valve and/or a better fuel pump. Also, I know this kit includes their emanage control unit…but should I also get a boost controller and a turbo timer? --Greddy FMIC S14/S15

--I need a LSD… should I go ahead and get a OEM one or upgrade to an aftermarket?

--KYB AGX Adjustable --Whiteline Antisway Bars --Eibach Pro Kit --Strut tower bars

--Does PDM racing offer the best selection of poly bushings?? Id like to replace them also.

--URA’s S14MC Front or a DoLuck Front…both can be seen from this site (white doluck). http://www.dragva.com/eng/aero

--I would also like to upgrade my brakes… I like the idea of switching out for Q45’s. One thing that worries me though is the brake sensitivity and locking up the wheels easily. Could I just get away with getting performance rotors/pads on a stock setup?

If anyone has any ideas on something else I should look at or consider Id appreciate feedback…thanks!

You'll need a blowoff valve and a better fuel pump as well as bigger injectors, turbo timer.

Get OEM LSD and all the other supporting parts.

Prepare to set aside $10,000+ for all the stuff.

the kit comes with 370cc injectors, would i need bigger than that on stock internals?

If you're dead set on getting the kit, you're priority should be on protecting your engine/investment:

1. Fuel Pump2. FMIC3. Dyno Tuning4. Thermostat5. Radiator6. Elec Fans

The above will safeguard/increase your engine survivability & longetivity.

Add all the brakes & suspension parts later.

Im not dead set on that particular one...Its just the only one Ive heard more about and I see it for sale lots online. Plus like you said, I want to be safe about it... so i figured id have less problems going with that kit. Would getting parts individually or a different kit work out better for me?

You might want to check out Auto-ImportPerformance.com for turbo kit. They seem to have a pretty complete kit from what I've read.

Just some advice from a fellow s14a owner. Emanage is crap. Sell it and get a 96 ecu, send it to jwt and install in your 98. JWT will show you what to rewire and I can tell you it is cake. I did that on my car and love it.

Definitely get the greddy i/c kit. Very high quality and will just bolt up to the Greddy turbo kit. For spark plugs run BKR7E-11, $7 a set and definitely the best by far.

And the injectors and MAFS, the 370cc will be fine for 7psi. Unfortunately the Greddy fuel rail that comes with the kit will not accept msd style injectors so your options are limited. The Z32 mafs is a good investment too, make sure you buy one with the plug otherwise that will be $0-$70 for the tomei one. OK I am done now.
