1) Are they connected directly to the engine block? IE The 3 tubes i see when i open the engine bay thats covered with the black plastic? (3.5 SE A/C

2) I just read somewhere about some guys Altima whos gas mileage went to shiet and that he doesnt enjoy the smell. So my question is, isnt the catback installed somehwere along the Exhaust, not the headers? Wheres the smell coming from? Shouldnt the headers just free up back pressure and not increase the MPG?

3) If im planning on headers should i install both my exhaust/headers on at the same time? Im planning on buying both when they come out if thats the case. (Im assuming i may have to undo the exhaust when headers go on)

4) I dont quite understand how they work. I read an article about em and it was saying that it has more holes for the exhaust to escape to but, the factory headers have 3 holes. All the performace headers ilooked at have 3 holes.. (3-1) Maybe an increase in the diameter?

5) Will it affect the sound THAT much?

6) Most importantlY!!!!! Will i be able to pass emissions test with this thing on? And if not, Will i be able to remove the thing when time comes? (Like in an hour or two)Alright, enough is enough. Get answering!

Thanks.

ok well the thing is the 3.5ers might be SOL when it comes to headers....since the 05+ Altima 3.5 has wideband O2 sensors, a defouler or an O2 simulator wont work...the car will run excelent with headers...but you'll be stuck w/ an unsolved SES problem, and flunk emmision tests....catmann has been trying to figure this out for almost three years but no luck yet.....here's a link to explain more of what i just said

http://www.nissanclub.com/foru....html

However if any of you have a 2.5, a nismo header will fit and o2 sim works, or you can get the one with the precat and you'll have less problems

Don't forget the "bolt-on" blower and as many wings as possible. Each wing adds 10whp.

I/H/E is the most basic bolt ons you'll get. There are intake manifold spacers too, dunno how well they work though. There's also the under drive pulley but I heard it really doesn't do all that much and it screws your AC.

intake and exhaust are pretty much it right now. maybe in the near future they'll come out with an intake manifold and maybe a company will come out with headers that work for the 3.5se without the SES light.... i guess we just have to wait

Ive done a bit of research now and found that Hotshot headers which is now out of buisness made headers for the 3.5 altima back in the day. ( The SER year) And a few other companies made it as well.

Has the whole Altima line been shunned by the way the stock headers have been installed? Its not the same for G/Z?I emailed stillen to see if there making one too.. i really want!
