I went into my friend's dad's shop to get an oil change (finaly....! ) And he told me that my brake is almost out... even though I don't really get what that means... but I know I am gonna need to buy one pretty soon $_$... I asked them how much is the brembo.. they told me I am looking at at least 3 grand. There's no way I can squeeze out 3 grand out of my a$$...Maybe a lil bit less... Which brand do you guys recommand? I am also looking into buying a new set of coilovers, any recommandations?? So far I know about Tein.. which is probably the cheapest one I can get thats in the "so so" zone. My friend recommanded me APEX.. but thats like about 3 grand too... Anyone of you guys have any suggestions?? thanks a lot :]

you don't need coilovers for your car unless that's what you want

don't even think about it if you can't fork out 1200$ for coilovers installed on your car

brake pads shoudl be able to be done within 250$ installed

of course if you can do it yourself it would be cheaper but it doesn't sound like you know how

fyi, theres no waaay in hell brake pads would cost anywhere near $3,000... You can get aftermarket 6pot project mu kits for less (caliper, lines, rotors, pads) and they are waay better than the g35 brembos. that mechanics tryin to rip the pants off you... get away quick

If I don't want it why would I be asking about it...? Just because I cannot afford it right now doesn't mean I cannot start planning it right? I'd rather hear some more helpful info than just worthless comments. I want to get coilovers and thats why I am asking people for opinions and sueggestions.

Yeah? WHere can I get the project mu stuff? It doesn't seem like they are too popular on the market.. or not that I've heard of...

Whether you can afford it into future is not within the scope of this discussion as far as I understand. You stated that your brake pad is wearing out... blah blah $3000 quote and all of a sudden coilovers come out from no where.

I was giving you a ballpark figure as to how much it would cost in the market with labor included prices. It's too bad you took my comment in a negative manner.

3000 for brake pads? Did you mechanic also told you that there is a unicorn in your muffler and its punchning holes in it. Now you need new pipes which will run you about 2500. LOL3000 for Brembo brakesthe only thing that cost 3000 from brembo is Brembo GT 355mm Big Brake Kit. It comes with Racing rotors and 4 piston calipers.Brake pads usually go for 60-100 bucks plus labor another 100unless u do it urself

Hokay so im gonna skip the break question because u just need new pads enuf said. but if you are looking for a nice cheap set of coilovers I would sugest Stance 15 way adjustable coilovers. I have had them installed in my 06 G coupe for a few months now and they are worth every penny. The difference from stock sus on the track was unreal. They are easy to install and easy to adjust in every way. Be carefull how low you go at first as they will settle out. I lovem. They will set ya back about $1200 depending if ya get any deals anywhere. Im not saying buy them from this site but have a look.

Hello and welcome to the forums. You might want to start another thread. Our forums are going through a massive relocation and as you can see this thread was started about 9 months ago.

To answer your question. The two-piece looks like it has many benefits. My concern would be the strength between the hat and disc.
