I just bought a 240sx about four days ago. Sr20 swap. It needs to be painted and fixed up a little but i still like it.

1.. I wanted to clean the motor, I was wonder what things should i mask off so they dont get wet on the engine? Its a blacktop SR. Or if there is a better way of cleaning tell me.

2.. What should my VAC be at idle on the boost gauge in BAR .

3.. Can the turbo stop spooling right after i turn off the motor and sound kind like when you turn off a saw. Could this be some shaft play.

4.. The interior is stripped what kind of paint should i use to paint the metal. Something i could get at autozone, dont like to order online too much.

5.. Estimate the weight: 92 240sxBlacktop Sr20detFMICApexi N1No carpetNo glove boxNo HeadlinerNo backseatPretty much just the dash, 2 front stock seats and center console. 28lb Rims

Everyone's opinions are appreciated. Help me out quick so I can get this thing ready to be painted and make it look decent!!

1 - cover all the electrical stuff you can. like the fuses and relays are you pressure washing it? if not, just hose off around the elec. stuff

2 - ask in the SR20 section, look to the lower right of this page

3 - same as #2

4 - pretty much whatever you want, make sure everything is clean and that you prep it a little at least

5 - probably around 2700lbs give or take

I changed your title... "240sx" was a bit of a guessing game.

How much would it cost to rewire everything for my radio. Best way to explain it the stock harness is being used for the gauges but when i hook up a radio harness to a nissan harness i bought the radio doesnt turn on. Im not sure if the guy messed with the wiring or not.

What s14 interior parts fit into s13? Went to the junkyard today and they said they have 2 s14's at the other location.

Get the seatbelts if you can. Front seats work too.

The dash and door panels will need QUITE a bit of modification. They don't just bolt up.

What kind of modification we talking about here? I need a dash badly.
