Ok, please don't blow me off as a CSR does to a customer when they realy don't care. Although I appreciate your reply to my post, it seemed as if the news that your site is hosting ths doesn't realy bother you. As the CEO, why haven't you removed it? Does that mean you are an Iraqi supporter? In your response, please don't blow me off like you did in the last post, don't ban me from the forums. I just want to know and want the ability to talk about it.

First: Q45.org is NOT affiliated with NICO, nor do we own it. Our site is clearly NOT hosting the video. You are mistaken.

Second: There are HUNDREDS of sites on the 'Net hosting that video.

Third: I didn't "blow you off", I drafted a polite and explanatory reply.

Fourth: I'm as patriotic as they come, but we have a little rule here at NICO that we don't discuss (or try not to) religion or politics.

Fifth: "Iraqi supporter"? Bit of a stretch there, don't you think? May as well accuse me of being the 20th hijacker.

Take care.

Be advised it is considered a serious breach of forum rules to re open a thread that has been locked.

It is up to FreddB what he posts on his website.Your fuzzy language about what "our governement will want posted" is either an expression of ignorance, or an attempt at disinformation.

Fred..

FP - That site is not Freddy's, but Wes's (I'm pretty certain).

GO try to excercise your censorship elsewhere, buddy.

This is the internet...

Have you emailed all the militant islamic websites hosting the video?

Quote »Q45.org is NOT affiliated with NICO
So why allow them to link to your site? And to Fred...I didn't reopen a locked thread, I'm not an admin here and can't do that, sorry.

Quote »"Iraqi supporter"? Bit of a stretch there, don't you think? May as well accuse me of being the 20th hijacker.
No, I was going from the information I had. You had made it seem as if you didn't care. I'll say once again I am here because there is a link that says "forums" on http://www.q45.org. That can only lead a person to assume that the people that run Q45 run these forums. As that is how most sites work.

Quote »Your fuzzy language about what "our governement will want posted" is either an expression of ignorance, or an attempt at disinformation.
Are you saying our government does want people to see this video? Funny, I don't recall them allowing the local news channels to air it.

Whats with the childish name calling? I simply brought this matter to surface because I found it disturbing. If the owner of Q45.org is this Wess person that has been mentioned, then I'm asking him why he has the clip hosted. I simply clicked on the forums tab on his site that lead me here. If Nicco doesn't want to be associated with q45.org, then perhaps the ceo should request that the link to his forums be removed from said website.

I don't control who links to NICO. You need to learn how the Internet works.

You reopened a topic that was locked - same thing, please don't argue with my executive team.

Q45.org is a tiny site - NICO is a huge (1.3 million hits per day) site. Thousands of sites link to us. I can't monitor their content, nor do I care to.

Local news channels CHOSE not to air the video, as there would have been an enormous outcry from the public. The government has no say in the matter.

If you're here to argue, just let me know so we can stop right now - This is a club for automotive enthusiasts.

History [http://www.richard.clark32.bti....html ]of beheading is quite interesting certainly more human than shooting some one in the head or frying their smoking flesh in the chair..........gas chamber is nasty as is drowning.

Certainly the most painful way to go is the 43, 200 deaths per year in US from car accidents.

I happen to see one, but I'm not gona do anything because I don't care too.......I am not asking you to monitor each indevidual site sir. Just recognize the one I have shown you. That one you can do something about. Don't be closed minded on this. Imagine if it was your family.

I am a Special Investigator, with an extensive law enforcement background, but the one thing i have learned is where my responsibilities end.

I will email the owner of the site you referenced and ask the owner to remove the video if he continues to refer people to us.

Fair enough?

Thanks.

I havent seen the video and really dont care much about it either way, but I am vehemently opposed to censorship, even if its self-censorship due to pressure groups (which i suspect this poster is a member of) and I will email the owner asking him to keep it on.

Fred..

PS: Or maybe he's just a kid with a keyboard, cuz one would think that a pressure group gives it minions better marching orders than the stuff he's typed.

What a suprise, you work in law enforcement..

Your way, or no way..

I bet you love throwing the book at anyone who crosses your path... I'm going to start a website and host this video just to defy you..

What do you think about that? Take your censorship, and your government propoganda, and stick them up your tight a$$

This is exactly what we need to stand up against, too many websites self censor, due to trouble caused by pressure groups.

An extreme example is how some of the most insightful view points and important stories, get dropped form search engines in Europe because they dont fit the self-picture of the new Europe and are not helpful for some countries admisson into the EU.

People have a right to see this. You can excercise your own judgement, if you want to see it or not.

People should understand the level of hate these people have towards us. What they will do to satisfy that hate.

You think showing the whole video up to the point of him being beheaded is any better?

Once you start to allow any form of cencorship, you open a pandoras box... It's all or nothing, it can enver be subjective.

I'm with Fred and that one dude who said, "I may not agree with a word you say but will fight to the death your right to say it." If people don't want to see it, they don't have to. While it may be a disgusting video and untasteful, I think that pressuring censorship is just as revolting. Good this was cleared up with unfortunate compromise though.

Palmer,

I had no idea of your passion on the issue of censorship.

None of us like what happened to Mr. Berg

He was simply trying to aid in the reconstruction effort. You can support or be against the war, but the people who are trying to aid in reconstruction efforts don't deserve to be treated like this.

The constitution was not written to protect what you think is right.. It protects the worse, the most vile

It wouldn't work any other way

Its pretty sad what happened to him, especially considered who he was.

But I smell an agenda among those who wish to hide the face of war and murder, in the middle east.

Jesda :Put it back up.

Then they try to make you feel guilty by bringing up their family.

Makes me sick

On this note:Here is a link that is curently being tried to be censored by pressuring search engines, by the German and Czech governments, because technically you cant get into the EU w/o reparations for victims or their estates for these kind of crimes, but the Czechs wont dp the right thing and everyone seems to want them in the EU.

Harrassment by pressure groups has forced the site to be hosted in Canada now I believe.

Don't cleck it, if you are prone to nightmares, also I believe women and children should stay away :

Quote »even if its self-censorship due to pressure groups (which i suspect this poster is a member of) and I will email the owner asking him to keep it on.
No clue what you are talking about. Also, how would you like it if it was your wife? Your family? All of you people that are crying this censorship crap are nuts. This has nothing to do with censorship. This has to do with respect. Now, either most of you crying about censorship are children living at home and fighting the fight because mommy and daddy wont let you watch an r rated movie, or you are uninformed adults and showing no respect for your fellow Americans. Thats all I want you to do. Try to view it from the families and friends side of view. Are you all telling me that if it was your wife, husband, brother, sister or someone you realy cared about, you would stand up and say "Censorship is wrong, I want everyone to see my families death"? I say bullcrap to that. I'll say it again, I started doing this out of respect. Swollow your damn pride and start using those codes and values your parrents tried to teach you when you were young. Perhaps in June of 05 if they decide to enact the draft, maybe we will be watching your sons and daughters beheaded, maybe then you will learn about respect.

p.s I dont wish that last statment on anyone or on their families, I'm just trying to open up some narrow minds.

OK This thread has to stop. AZhitman has gone above and beyond by agreeing to make a request to the owners of q45.org. It is all he can do with regard to this situation, and more than he has to do. Whether the owners remove the file is another matter--one that shouldn't be taken up on this forum.Spetznaz, did you bother to email the folks on q45.org who listed their contact info before coming to NICO?
