question to anyone with 300zx brake conversion on their 240sx.

i just did my 300zx brake conversion and brake master cylinder conversion and i try bleeding it all 4 sides and when i pump the brake pedal it gets hard but when i release it and wait 5 sec and press it, it has no pressure on the pedal but i press it 3 times it has pressure but waited 5 sec and press it again no pressure. i try bleed it 10 times on each sides still the same no matter what i do. can anyone help me out here thanks.

It sounds like you have a bad master cylinder. Check your calipers to make sure you have all the bleeders pointing up. But unless you have a hose leak I would think the mastercylinder is bad.

my stock 7\8 caliper on my 240 was no help so i swap it out with a bigger one that i got it from a 300z and its much better then my stock its still the same but not as bad... as for the bleeder screws do they have to be on top or it doesnt matter because mine are at the bottom if it does then i must have put my calipers on the wrong sides...

yes they should be up as the air rises as the fluid fills the caliper. swap sides and bleed them again, they should stiffen up then

thanks for the tip. another question for the brake master cylinder i just put it on without bleeding it do i need to bleed it first before i put it on.

bench bleed it first it'll save you alot of brake fluid and time specially if you have abs

i dont have abs so im not worried. i guess ill swap the caliper around and try bleeding it again.

Bleeders up bleed drivers rear, pass rear, pass front, driver front.

i got it to work now i swap the calipers around and it work and it brakes hard very hard but nice looks good too.
