2) Woudlnt sense to to open up 2010s n then open up a 2009 then try to make it...
3) Talk to Dangeris Darryl... Red Coupe.. hes got the custom projectors project down to a key... but its gunna be pricey.. lol tell u that.. but if u wanna do it your self he can give you all the info on projectors and where to get n which 1s... good luck.. not an eassy thing
infiniti_lineup wrote:Unfortunately you cannot replace the 2009 headlights with the 2010 headlights with a simple swap. If you were interested in fabricating the front end to fit the 2010 headlights then, yes you could — but that would come with a hefty price tag.
Same goes with the projectors from the 2010. Yes, techically if you wanted to fabricate them into the 2009 headlight assembly they would fit. But it won't be a simple swap between the two.
How much did he ask ?illdraweyouapic wrote:yeah i talked to him... haha pricey.. you right
Darryl said, with parts and labor to make his headlights was about $1800 over $1000 in just parts.....DAAN. wrote: How much did he ask ?
Ok i know your new to this section so please dont give him this advice hahaha HORRIBLE idea plus WAY TO MUCH MONEYinfiniti_lineup wrote:Yeah, I mean I wouldn't recommend someone to do this if it's their first time ever fabricating something, but you have to start somewhere. Good thing is that you have a great community here that will help you as best as possible every step of the way if you decide to go this route.illdraweyouapic wrote:so does it mean that if i just buy projects from somewhere else i can fit them and plan, measure, and wire them if i figure a way out how??
Here are links to the 2010 headlight assembly driver's and passenger's sides:

You'll have to purchase those, heat the seal and open them, and remove the projectors. From there you'll need to heat the seal and open your existing 2009 headlights and remove the components in them, measure and fabricate a housing for the 2010 projectors and then place the 2010 projectors inside your 2009 headlights. Then you'll need to reseal your newly modified headlights.
It's a big project — do you think you're up to it? I wouldn't blame ya' if you weren't!

Im not sure if thats how much he was saying he charges. Im sure its case by case depending on what someone wants. It will be worth it thats for sure, Ive gone to 3 shows with Darryl everytime 2 time he recieved first, one time which was Carlisle with several thousand cars there he got 3rd which is pretty damn good since his grouping sucked if I recal, so if you want a 1st place car, he is definitely the man to go to!
LongBeachCoupe wrote:I corrected your thread title, please use a title that describes your question... not that SAYS question lol
if that's how much he's charging, he's making a KILLING!! But hey, it's their $ if they badly wanna overpay for projectors. There are other ppl doing retrofits for a much lower price, u just gotta know who.DReed86 wrote: Darryl said, with parts and labor to make his headlights was about $1800 over $1000 in just parts.....
