and one more thing, can you burn an injector out if you put couple of thoose bottels -injector fuel cleaner in the tank at the same , i mean if you make it more concentrated.

There is a way to get out injectors using a dremel which has been tried sucessfully by some members in this forum. It is kind of risky, because if you judge wrong and make a mistake, your buying a new mainfold. When I replaced my injectors, I sucked it up and had it done proper.

Are your injector(s) clogged or failed? Do an OHM test. If your injector isn't ohming in the 10-14 range (if its below or above), your injector is toast. You need a new one. No amount of injector cleaner, concentrated or otherwise will help it. Just to be on the safe side make sure your ignition coil packs work. Sometimes a failed ignition coil will present itself like a failed or clogged injector.

If it's for sure a bad injector, that's around $800 aat a shop. I had nowhere near that much to spend, so I bought the tools to Dremel it for around $250 tops. I won't lie, it's kind of a a *****.

First things first (assuming you know which injector is bad), relieve the fuel pressure. Just start the car and pull the fuel pump fuse. It will run for a few soconds and then die. You also need to take off the throttle cable cover. Just pretty much disconnect whatever is in your way.

Then you have to dremel away at the plenum where it hangs over the one screw that you can't get off the injector cover. That's the easyish part.

Then, you need to get the soft, crappy, phillips head screw out. I got an impact driver in there and gave it a couple whacks. It was tricky getting the angle of the plenum grinding right so I could fit the tank-*** impact driver in there.

Then, you have to pull the bad injector. This parts sucks too. For some people, they just pop out with a tug on the connecting area. For me, I had to spray it down with some silicon lube and pull like all hell. I think I got my bigger neighbor to do it, since he could get better leverage on it.

Alright, so you're halfway there. Now hopefully, your new injector already has its new o-rings on it. If not, maybe soak the rings in a little oil to be able to slip them on. Once they are on, you need to get some vaseline and cover the o-rings with it.

Push the injector gently/firmly into place. This can be a ***** too. Some people have had luck tapping the top lightly with a hammer, but I fear cracking the plastic top. I recommend having your bigger neighbor push it into place for you, since he probably weighs more and can get better leverage.

Now you just need to secure the injector cover. Don't use those crappy phillips screws that are probably stripped. Take those to a hardware store and tell them you need the same thread and length but with an allen key head. Tighten the cover down, reconnect everything, and that should do it.

Any questions, let me know. And please, if anyone sees that I missed anything, make sure you mention it.

I might add theres a few injectors that don't require any grinding. But as Jakw mentioned getting the old injector out can be a challenge.Having the tool that Carlos shows on Fuzzycats.com would have made it easier I'm sure.

Removing manifold is a major pain. As soon as you think you have it cleared, there is another hose or harness. But getting those injectors out is even worse, I broke 4 out of 6 getting them out of the fuel rail.

Is it truth the you can check the injector by using Ω Meter and if yes where do you measure the resistance.

Before I do anything I just wanna make sure that the injector is not 100% gone.Because when I take the spark plug out there is a little bit of smoke coming out of the cylinder and the spark plug is kind of black which make me think that the injector is not pluged all the way or something. The coil is good I mean there is sparking. From what I see replacing injector is pain in the......So if I can do anything to avoid that I would do it.

When you take the connector off the injector there is only two contacts to it.You get the Ohm reading between those two contacts.

Is that mean if the injector is bad it would not show any resistance. What is the normal range for good injector. Thanks

I now have a "bad" (infinite resistance) #5 cylinder injector (1993 J30t with 172K miles and after very recently replacing the timing belt, water pump and all). I believe it's probably the least accessible of all six of 'em.

I'm getting quotes for all the gaskets that will be required to replace all six injectors (they should all be close to going), and the EGR and PCV valves, and the wife isn't going to be happy/is already unhappy.

The good news is that I lost my job (of almost 21 years) yesterday and will have plenty of time to work on the car, along with a long list of other things. BOL with yours.
