My car is basically ****ed because the shop that had a dyno was trying to tune my motor with a some mods that i had just gotten. And they ****ed my ignition timing and many others so now I only have three decent pistons at 150 psi and the fourth is at 90 psi. So i lost boost and leaking oil throught that one. I need to know if anyone has any information about this setup of the bottom end of the sr20de will work with the head of teh sr20det and everything else up top of the motor. I believe the compression is diferent compared to the two but i dunno. has anyone tried this setup. If not i might be the first!! Pro and cons of both. I know the bottom end of the sr20det is strong but is it just as the same as the sr20de rwd motor. Questions and need answer. thanks Drew

Ya the compression is different and the internals aren't built for turbo. The compression is higher-believe around 175-180. Yes you can do it but most of us would rather put a ka motor in before an sr20de. Actually thats not copmpletely true. I cant speak for everyone. The crank is different to I believe. There are some post on this subject. Another reason is that the sr20de is set up for fwd. I think the transmission bolt pattern is diff to but cant remember. I would search for fwd sr20de etc and you will find the post.

silvia J's and Q's came with RWD SR20DE's. I heard that it is not as good to run boost on the noneturbo block and internals, im not even sure that the non-turbo blaock has oilsquirters.
