Just picked up my wife a 2015 Rogue Select w/ convenience and appearance package. She doesn't like the new body style as she says it resembles a dinosaur foot!

My questions is, is it the same exact transmission that's in the new body style? I ask because I've read that the new body style comes with the cvt that has simulated gear shifts but I don't feel that in the new Rogue select. It feels the same as her 2012 Rogue that we just traded in.

There seems to be some confusion. Held over first gens were branded as "select", sold with all most no features, and that ended with the 2014 model. There is no 2015 SELECT model. If you have a 2015 it's either a stripped base; an S; SV; or SL. All of which have the new body style and CVT.

Yes there is a 2015 Select. Go to Nissan.com to look at it.

I stand partially corrected. According to Nissan's internal memos, all first gen Rogues were expected to be sold off by April of last year. Clearly that has not happened. If you look at the pictures on Nissan's website, the Select is a first gen model.

That being said, only second gen, new body styles have the new CVT. As this is a first gen Rogue, it doesn't have the new CVT.
