How can i go about having a recall performed on my Max? Is there a general number i can just call. Im having a knocking/clunk coming from my front passenger side, and i see that there is a recall on the lower control arm.

Welcome to NICO!

I think there is a link on Nissan's website to check if your car falls under the recall. If not, then you can always call the nearest dealership with your VIN and they can confirm.

Have you owned the car since new? Is there a chance the prior owner had teh recall work performed already? How many miles on your car now? Did the recall expire or have an expiration term? It would be best to stop by your local dealer and have them run a vin history on your ride. You will then be able to tell if the problem had been fixed. Then they can diag your problem and tell you what is making your sound. Recall items are a tough deal when you are not the original owner and not getting the recall notice card in the mail..... Chances are they will find it has nothing to do with the recall parts.--Mike
