Hi,

last week my dad got into an accident, and totalled his qx4. Now he wants to buy a FX35. I just want to ask what year is the best for FX and just how the car feels when you drive. Like the pros and cons.

I have a 2007 that I bought used. I really like it. It has a very sports car feel to the handling. I got one with 18" wheels, The 19" have a really rough ride. I get 17-17.5 mpg in town. Only have one complaint, I have a small squeak in the drivers window but it isn't very annoying.

The depreciation is fairly low. Try to get the newest one you can afford.

I bought the 2005 edition and am very happy with it. No problems so far and i don't expect any. Infiniti builds their cars well! If you want Bluetooth for your cellphone to the car, MP3 CD capability, go for the 2006 and up. The other options you can look into are Navigation, sport package consisting of 20 inch rims, smoked headlights and clear smoked tail lights!

Stay away from the 2009, its ugly in my opinion, but for each his own right.

I drove a 2009 version, I would say that is the one to get...7 speed tranny makes a huge difference, but 2006 added some nice stuff. The FX50 was a beast to drive...My friend has a 2005 that I have driven quite a bit.

I still have yet to drive the new FX50 with the 7-spd. I can only imagine how much fun that must be! FX50

I just bought a 2005 w/ 50k miles on it. The only complaint I see from other enthusiasts as well is the city gas mileage. I came out of an 03 Murano and the gas mileage in the city sucks. The highway miles are getting better. 22mpg is the best, but I think it can get up to 24.
