Question regarding cross-over.

About 3 years ago i bought 6.5" mb quartz component speakers and 6x9 boston acoustic speakers. I bought 2 jl amps 500/1 and 300/2. The 500/1 ran my 3 10" subs and the 300/2 ran my 6.5" components. Last september the car got totaled by a drunk driver and now finally i'm donating some of the stuff to my gf's s13 i bought her.

I've never really done any audio installations other than a head unit which is simple. I'm going to be putting the 6.5"'s in her car this week and was planning on putting in the tweeter and crossover.

Questions:1. Does this setup need a amp to run the speakers & tweeters when using the crossover?

2. my crossover has output tweeter input high output woofer input low When do i run these wires. I know that output tweeter goes to tweeter obviously. Now this is where i sound like a retard and i'm sorry. Does the output woofer goto the speaker? and where do i run the inputs from?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. And like i said i have really never installed anything and i'd really rather learn then keep paying people to do stuff for me. Thanks

1: It does not really need an amp, but to do those speakers justice, I would use an amp. High end stuff, when underpowered, tends to blow up easier than some walmart specials.

2: The proper flow of wire goes like this... the wires from the source (cd player, amps, whatever) goes to the INPUT on the crossover. The tweeter hooks up to the "tweeter" output on the crossover, and the speaker (or woofer) goes to the speaker output.

Well one of the 6.5"s has to be reconed i must of broken it taken it out of the broken door (drunk driver). So i ordered a new set. I should be ready to do the install in a week or so, if i have any problems i will certainly ask. thats for replying.
